The Peak® series was created by ultra-athletes who wanted to wanted to turn coal into diamonds. To do that they developed a series of insane ultra-endurance events here in central Vermont. We believe that completing these races will change your life.

Nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains, the Peak Race Bloodroot Ultra trail race is hosted in the rustic New England town of Pittsfield, Vt. Offering various distances that explore the trails of Green Mountain National Forest and terrain on the Spartan Race Founder Joe DeSena, this event will not disappoint! You’ll come to find the true magic of ‘people inspiring people’ through our unique race experience designed to help you not only discover the beauty of the Vermont mountains but yourself as well. Get ready to Go Beyond Your Limits!
Join us in 2022 for the 10 miler, 50K, 50 miler, 100 miler, 200-mile individual/relay, and 500 miler.

Death Race

The Death Race is the ultimate challenge, designed to present you with the unexpected and the completely insane! Nothing else on earth will challenge you like The Death Race, both mentally and physically.
Every Death Race is its own uniquely brutal challenge, no two races are alike. The race, created by Ultra athlete and Spartan Race founder Joe Desena, was developed as a way for athletes to test themselves both mentally and physically. The Death Races take place in the unexpectedly challenging terrain of the Green Mountains in and around Pittsfield, Vermont, and have lasted over 70 hours. We provide no support. We don’t tell you when it starts. We don’t tell you when it ends. We don’t tell you what it will entail. We want you to fail and encourage you to quit at any time.

MT Sparta 24HR Challenge

For 2021 we are adding to our lineup of endurance events. Welcome the Mt. Sparta 24HR Challenge that will be hosted at the Riverside Farm. After testing the concept with some crazy members of the Peak Races community in the summer of 2020, we believe we have an epic, fun, yet ultimate challenge that will push you Beyond Your Limits.
Date/Time: Sat. 7/24 12pm – Sun. 7/25 12pm
Race Location: Riverside Farms (White Barn) 57 Tweed River Dr. Rd, Pittsfield, VT 05762
Parking: Limited carpooling strongly encouraged
Course Description: 1 mile up the Death Race Stone Stairs to Shreks Cabin with an approximate 970′ gain & back for 24hrs to set the course record.

Wood Splitter MTB

Are you ready for a mountain bike challenge like no other?
You will be challenged to see how many times you can complete a marked loop course within a 6-hour time limit. Each loop will cover ten miles of mind, body, and technique testing terrain incorporating classic GMT standbys and recently hand-built gnar. In the spirit of all Peak races, this is an opportunity to test your limits.
